My old mother, who was seventy-two years old and used to visit Rawson prison, told me,  "How curious, I had to come to my age so that my granddaughter taught me that  family does not mean only blood bonds. Because I am like a grandmother to all those youths, all of them are mine".
"The way she acted, her commitment to support them. My old mother who cooked chickens and cakes for a whole week, took them food, and there everything was for everybody," said one of our protagonists. "They brought it for me did not exist, everything was shared by everybody."
My Mum told me, "I learned things, I was in complete ignorance of them, that is, how you can live in a different way, feel others as if they were your brothers, and share".  "My mother was already old at that time," said our witness.

"... There were all those people isolated from their families: Their relatives found it very difficult to get here, to this place, fares, accommodation and time, if they worked …"

" … but their relatives started getting here, it was obvious that they started getting organized. They got here by bus, … and, in order to spend as less as possible,   they also needed somewhere to stay at, anybody,  people who could put them up."

"My house became filled with little threads, little ropes in the kitchen, in the bathroom, where they hung out their kids nappies."

"I had a large pot in which I cooked sauce and also I had a very big one, large enough to boil many noodles in. Just in case. One never knew if there were to be two  people, or suddenly there was a whole town of people dining together."

The warders

"And when I am about to go into the place, two people aim their FALs at me, and as the warders who were going on duty started getting there, the prisoners abducted them."

"Nobody will escape unless they perform their duties, unless they obey our orders,
There nobody can run away
I assure you that was it.
If you do what you have to do this prison is highly secure.
Nobody can run away from it."
