We were the lawyers of the political prisoners, the guerrilla prisoners, the combative union-leaders, and  no doubt most of us did it with a militant sense, it was the militancy way that had many lawyers who discovered, in my case for the first time, the importance of being a lawyer.       

I never asked the prisoners what they thought,  what political party they were engaged in, I think I have never known it.
